Groupon in New Delhi, Delhi - Pathetic experience

Groupon India! Pathetic experience..Product reaches me after stipulated time and i find that it is broken. I am asked to send them the product back on my own expense after which they will consider refunding my money! Another product that reaches me late and is again defective. I hope the readers are cautioned and do not think of dealing with groupon. They provide discounts but do not mention that product delivered will be defective. Someone has correctly said " All that glitters is not gold" Do not get tempted with the discounts. So feel like taking them to the court.

Groupon in Fiddletown, California - Selling items that are illegal to use

So, it started with a simple ad for Chinese Lanterns. I thought, are you kidding? Sending a flaming lantern up into the air in California with all the fires we have in the summer? So, I looked it up and sure enough, California State Fire Marshal Information Bulletin 12-005 issued in June of 2012 addresses the issue and indicates that it is illegal to use these lanterns. I passed this information along to address their social responsibility. The answers I got from them were things like "we are sorry the ad offended you". Are you kidding? Who is answering the complaints? But, the last straw came today when I was sent a specific ad for Chinese Lanterns. No social responsibility from this company at all.

Groupon - Fool us once, twice...

I've been trying to address a completely unsatisfactory "discounted" purchase for 2 years. Not only was the product not as advertised, it broke the day we opened it! Neither entity (Groupon or the seller) will reply...the company ignores all contacts (and actually shut down their communications) from so many complaints! A week or so after you write, Groupon puts you into a "loop" where they keep asking you for more info you already provided...thereby blowing you off, with another reply stating they already replied...for two years!...pushing towards that statute of limitations... This happened TWICE...two different products...one a child's toy (xmas present for a 5 year old) and the other a photo book (for Father's Day). Those are 2 holidays you don't mess with folks! Don't EVER give your money to GROUPON for anything and do your "due dilligence" and investigate any online company, including Yelp, the Better Business Bureau complaints, etc., and DO communicate with the company beforehand to be sure they're actually real! WE pay GROUPON's commissions as soon as we press "pay", so they could care less...as all of these other reviews state as well.

Groupon - VIP refunds not honored

I was a VIP member for a year. I received a notice on the last day of my membership that it was being discontinued. They claimed they had notified me earlier (they did not). I tried to get the allowed refunds under the VIP program immediately, but the VIP refund button was no longer on the site. I contacted the company immediately and they claimed they could still be refunded and gave me instructions on how to do so. No luck. I responded again and received no reply. I submitted a third request and a week later was told I was out of luck -- the program was over. I am stuck with my existing Groupons, but will never purchase again from the nor recommend them.

Groupon in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania - READ THE FINE PRINT!! Don' be baited!

I bought a groupon for eyeglasses at Family Care. I failed to read the fine print in their email which stated that the groupon was not good if you have health care that provides for eye care. The above information was not printed on the coupon. Family Care refused to honor the coupon and Groupon refused to give me credit for any future Groupon deals. I asked Groupon to remove me from their membership. Their rep reminded me that I should have read the fine print. In other words, "Let the buyer beware." Don't let your initial excitement over a deal cause you to ignore caution.

GROUPON's False Offers

I saw an offer for a vacuum and purchased it right away (within minutes). by the end of the day, I rec'd a generic email stating there was a problem with processing my order. They have my information & credit card, what could they have had a problem with???? I am fed up with Groupon's automated generic emails apologizing why they could not fulfill my order but don't tell you the reason. I've purchased Groupons where the have gone out of business, won't honor the Groupons as advertised or the merchants stink! PLUS, unless you work in a bank, their customer service hours are horrible. I am placing my complains with the BBB today!

So Much for the Groupon Promise

Took forever and lots of emails to get a refund for a groupon I could not use do to a serious injury and moving across country. I complete lack of compassion from customer service. In the end I got a credit which I really don't want to use (I'm done with groupon) instead of a refund which I would have much preferred. Living Social has MUCH better customer service! When I was transferred from Phoenix to South Carolina they refunded all of my groupons that I hadn't used, gave me a $10 credit to use when I got here, and wished me an easy move.

Will NEVER use Groupon again

I purchased a Groupon to use at a local restaurant that I was interested in trying out. Reservations were made on their website, and were booked months in advance. By the time I tried to redeem my Groupon, the restaurant went out of business. It was marked by Groupon as a "Best of 2012". My guess is that everyone was trying to use their Groupon's and that Groupon screws over vendors so much that they do not even end up turning a profit. When I went to Groupon about the company going out of business before I could redeem the Groupon, I was told that they refused to provide me with a refund. I never used the Groupon! That's $45 that I will NEVER get back, and I never even got to use the voucher! I refuse to just give my money away for a service that I never receive, and I will never again use Groupon. I will tell everyone that I know to use Groupon's competitors or go straight to the vendor themselves. Groupon is a SCAM!

Groupon in Buffalo, New York - Did not fufill my order

I purchased a goods order for 4 Disney magnetic wooden doll sets for my toddler for $25. Only one came. I emailed them and they offered to refund my money with no explanation why I would not receive the other 3 dolls. They could not answer if this would happen again in the future. Very disappointed toddler :( Now I have a $25 credit that I'm not sure will even work if I order a good item or anything else. I loved the generic email they sent ne too, so robotic and corporate. If I deal sounds too good to be true, it probably is!

Groupon - Merchant services asked for REQUIRED TIPS $55

I have very bad experiences with this Groupon merchant which is a transportation service to SFO airport. The time I bought the Groupon (I paid for $99 for round trip service), I checked their website and called to ask about the service, it seems OK. By the time my sister was ready to use the Groupon. I found their web site was no longer working (under construction, I think they were trying to increase the price). My sister called and reserve the service from Cupertino-SFO. They said to them that with Groupon Voucher, they have to pay $55 tips which is $27.5 each way. I think it's way too much. I complained to Groupon that this is not listed on Groupon voucher. The customer service get back to me a few days later asking more info, I emailed them more info, than a few more days, they get back to ask for even more info before they can handle, sometime the email just said they will get back to me later since too many requests. after 20 days, I finally get back an answer said we should pay the taxes according to the law and such, really nonsense. I know Groupon customer support are the worst.
