Groupon in Buffalo, New York - Hair resistable salon Cheektowaga NY

Purchased voucher for $39.00 for cut highlites & conditioning treatment. Have called for appt about 8x & NO ONE answers the phone. Have left nemerous messages & No one returns call. Contacted Groupon & was told they would TRY to contact them & get back to me in 3-5 days. Been way passed & have not heard from them either. Two very bad business working together to rip people off as far as Im concerned.Told Groupon would not want to take the chance of them touching my hair after this fiasco...I might end up BALD after all this!!

Groupon merchant refusing to honour appointment

I bought a groupon for a a spa service for 2 as a present for someone visiting me from abroad. The receptionist confirmed our time at the spa and promised to return my call in one hour to conform my security code on the groupon. She never did. I called a week later to see why no one had returned my call but the manager denied any knowledge of an appointment being booked. he offered 2 alternative dates which were impossible as we would be on the other side of the country! He refused to apologise and insinuited that I was the one telling lies. Why no answer from Groupon on this?

Crooked Groupon - Refuse to refund money

I requested a refund for two groupons within the 7 days of purchase and customer service emailed me saying that they refunded the total amount in "GROUPON BUCKS" credited to my groupon account!!! I emailed back and clarified that I needed the money refunded into my credit card and received no response. I unsuccessfully sent a third email and contacted them by phone but only a machine is available saying that the office is closed at that time. I have been a loyal groupon customer for 3 years but obviously they don't care loosing good customers. Now I see why this company is being investigated by The Office of Fair Trading!

Groupon added expiration date three months after I purchased coupons

I bought two coupons from Groupon.com on November 4, 2012. The confirmation email I received from Groupon the same day stated that there was no expiration date for either coupon. On February 25, 2013, I received an email from Groupon "reminding" me to use my coupons before they expired on March 4, 2012. I emailed Groupon support numerous times refuting the expiration date, and each time was told that they could "not change the expiration date." I had to send Groupon a copy of the no-expiration confirmation email twice, and finally received a response from "Joe B" on 3/1 Friday evening (after close of business) that again Groupon could NOT change the expiration, that the original confirmation with no expiration was "a fluke," and that I could contact them Monday morning, a day AFTER the coupons are apparently due to expire. I've filed formal complaints on line with the Department of Consumer Affairs in both NYC (where I live) and Chicago.

GROUPON is a horrible company

I bought a Groupon for a restaurant a few months ago. Before going to the restaurant, I did a Google search to see what others had to say about the restaurant. There were many reviews, UNANIMOUSLY negative, citing horrible food and bad service. I would have still tried it, but the Groupon was only good for sushi. Now, raw fish has to be extremely fresh, and complaint upon complaint said it was not fresh, had off tastes, or was inedible. Rather than risk getting sick, I wrote to Groupon to ask for a credit towards a future purchase. I was not looking for my money back, just a credit to use AT A restaurant with safe food. They said no twice, they would rather I go eat the food, get sick, and THEN complain and then they POSSIBLY will think about a refund. What a company. I have spent hundreds of dollars for Groupons, and they have lost me as a customer over a $15 credit.

Groupon - Terrible Customer Service

I recently purchased a coupon for a local restaurant. Shortly thereafter the restaurant closed and the owner of the restaurant said to get a refund from Groupon. I emailed Groupon's service with evidence of the closing. They then commenced sending me pre-scripted emails and lied saying that the restaurant was still open and that they were working with the owner. I emailed them repeatedly requesting a refund to my credit card and I was virtually ignored for over a week. Groupon clearly has no desire to refund me. This was the first time that I purchased something from Groupon and it's going to be the last.

Groupon in Danville, Virginia - Not allowed to cancel order

I saw that my vitamin order had not been shipped yet today. They are the green coffee bean supplements and after doing some online research I am leery about taking them, so I wanted to cancel the order. I called the Groupon customer service line and requested a cancellation. I was told that they will not (not, can not) cancel the order because their policy says the customer has only two hours from time of making an order to cancel an order. This policy is ridiculous and because of their policy and their snide customer service staff. I have decided never to do business with Groupon again. I will be returning other items right away.

Groupon in Tampa, Florida - Refuse to refund money

I bought a groupon for bottoms down weight loss in Tampa. I live 40 mins away so had to wait three weeks for a Saturday appointment. On Friday before my appointment they call to confirm. An hour or so later I get another call saying they don't accept new clients on Saturdays and if I can't get there during the week they won't honor the groupon. I asked how I get refunded and they say it comes from groupon. Groupon refused the refund and suggested I give it as a gift!!! I've already cost them just shy of $500 from talking friends out of using them And stay away from bottoms down weight loss as well. Rude people who don't give a *** about honoring commitments.

Groupon's Refund Policy and Customer Servc

An investigation by the Office of Fair Trading (OFT) has resulted in Groupon being told it has to seriously clean up its act. They were informed that they had broken a number of consumer regulations and were given just three months to get their act together or face further sanctions. “The investigation found widespread examples of Groupon’s practices which in the OFT’s view breached consumer protection regulations,” said the watchdog. ”The OFT has specific concerns over practices involving reference pricing, advertising, refunds, unfair terms, and the diligence of its interactions with merchants.” Groupon is known to have horrible customer service. Here are a few suggestions to speed up receiving a refund. 1- File a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and let them know 2-Contact your credit card company and dispute the charge 3- Record the call and post it on YouTube to show other clients what they will deal with when they try to get a refund. 4- Insist on a full refund not a Groupon Credit. They are obliged to give a full refund as stated in their policy. 5- Escalate to their corporate office. Contact person can be found on linkedin.
