Groupon - 4 hours driving lessons...not for £29

I paid for this deal for my daughter, when I phoned to book the lesson they asked me if she had ever driven..I said only once in a carpark, they said she wasnt a new driver then so they wouldnt book the lesson, the man was rude and aggressive. My husband phoned two days later to try booking again this time saying NO she could not drive. The first lesson was spent totally talking with no driving (1 hour) the second lesson (1hour and half) two minutes of driving rest talking ... the last lesson (1hour and half) five minutes of driving. Each time my daughter got in the car the red petrol light was on ...strange if you intend to teach someone to drive. Its a scam to get you to sign up for a block but due to driving 7 minutes out of four hours they can go and whistle. This was through a school called "Drivin" based just outside Cardiff She has now been on a two hour proper lesson and drove for two hours and really enjoyed it in fact she came back beaming...so just be warned dont part with the cheap £29 option its a sprat to catch a mackeral.....

Beware: Groupon Deal -Android Premium 7 Nextbook

I ordered "$185 for a Premium 8 Google Android 2.3 Touch-Screen Tablet PC ($594.19 Value)" from GROUPON. Waste of money! I had to pay $87.00 ADDITIONAL as Customs to release the product. although it stated All Shipping Included. It was shipped from CHINA ( Dino Direct) Secondly, it clearly states in description of the product that "* Access the Android market" - NOT TRUE it has horrible, malfunctioning, cheaply manufactured 3rd Party Market (Slide) that has NO ACCESS to the Android Market! I have emailed Groupon, no response...I emailed NextbookUS no response, I emailed Dino Direct - no reponse!!!

Groupon finally sent me an acknowledgement today stating that will review the case. So if I find out anything on my end, I will update my post.

I have the exact same situation. I contacted them (groupon) and they said they will reimburse me for the 91.08$ of custom fees and they are trying to find a solution so I can return at no fees and get full amount back.

Also sending a Demand letters to their head office and through email + filing a complain to consumer protection organisme available here in Quebec ... more to come!

Groupon not welcome

Groupon or any of the other coupon services doesn't really have a place in the mainstream of our industry. I know of very few products or services, that appeal to the mass market , that any of us could afford to discount in the 30% to 50% range that we could sell large quantities of and then send a check to the coupon company for the other half of the other half of the sale, that wouldn't hammer our businesses. The closest I could come is full color business cards at 50% off that I could then afford to give 45% or 50% revenue to the coupon company. And F/C cards are free on my web site so that won't work either. If I was just starting out or could cut a deal with a carrier for a subsidy that would be different, but the carriers aren't that flexible with us. Groupon Customer Service

Groupon.com may give good deals, but if you ever need an informed cust. svc rep you are out of luck. Recently one of the reps was not trained in their proceedures and refunded my money for a groupon that was unusable due to the company going out of business, to a CLOSED account. The rep from Groupon KNEW the account was closed and had instructed me to delete my old card and put in my new one for my current bank and said he would process my refund that way. Groupon policy is apparently to refund it to the original card ONLY or issue Groupon credit. The rep was not aware of this..he processed the refund and it was sent to a closed account. I am now forced to try and fight the bank whom I was already in arbitration with over misapplied fees. I contacted Groupon several times and they refuse to assist me in any manner.... DONT USE GROUPON.COM.

I have to agee w/ you. Groupon doesn't have customer service.

The groupon guarantee says anytime there's a problem to call and they don't a number. When you email they take forever to respond. Recently I complained about a company that offered a service for one day and then when you called all you got was a full mailbox. Groupon said they would credit my account but didn't and have ignored all my other requests for a refund.

They also emptied my account of purchases made but not used. No more DUPE-ON for me.

Groupon , powerslim acai .co.uk

I bought powerslim acai offer from Groupon ,paid for it but have yet to receive it because Powerslim acai are not accepting payment for postage . This has been going on since June , when you write to powerslim acai , you get an automated reply saying that they are having problems but will be sorting out soon . I have also written to Groupon but they dont know how to get intouch with them either .... DO NOT PURCHASE ANYTHING FROM POWERSLIM ACAI .CO.UK , THEY ARE FRAUDS , the thing which annoys me is that they do not have a telephone number you can reach them and Groupon sell they products , surely they should have their contact details . Groupon should be responsible if they have sold on behalf of Powerslim acai , I paid Groupon so ultimately Groupon are responsible to get me my products , dont you think ?

I have exactly the same problem, but my money have been debited from my account and i am left with nothing an no response from either groupon nor power acai. Ridicullous.

DO NOT BUY ANTYTHING FROM THEM!

groupons helpline keeps me on hold for long time and i am not getting through. basically a big lie.

Groupon Ripoffs

A Sweet Reminder and GROUPON are both ripoffs- They help each other perpetuate FRAUDS on the public- Stay away from both-Groupon continues to have more problems and LESS service. These companies are prime examples of new ways to scam the the public out of money-the attorney general of the USA or the Atorney general of Illinois or North Carolina should investigate both of these companies. Groupon continually tries to advertise that they are providing great service and saving consumers millions of dollars- They steal from the consumers to line thier pockets with the money. This is not the first time I and others have had GROUPON problems-Thier motto is take your cash and if you have problems they do not care.

Groupon was dind enought to refund a BriteSmile coupon, give me a refund and I am so PLEASED

Groupon refunded my money for a whitening at BriteSmile, (Britesmile went bankrupt)..It was not a problem and I am so pleased they did this and I can't complain about them or the business practices that Groupon uses. I have restored my faith in Groupon and can recommend it to anyone looking for a good deal. Sign up today and you will be surprised with the bargins they give you in your area. It is always a good buy and convenient to use. Tjhey took good care of me and I apreciated they way handled my problems with no questions...

I bought my first groupon in January. Its called (Frilly Apron) $ 30.00.

I have never recieved it!

i HAVE SENT 3 E-MAILS TO THEIR SO CALLED SERVICE CENTER THEY HAVE NEVER ANSWERED ME. i hateGroupon!

ITS NOTHING BUT A RIP OFF! DONT BUY ANYTHING FROM THEM, LETS GET THEM OUT OF BUSSINESS!1

I really don’t like this company practices.Their customer support is terrible, I don’t like the way they operate with customers trust and forms of payment. When I’m at fault I don’t mind having to accept that I’m going to have to eat a loss.

However this sale is totally on the fault of GROUPON. I’m very much willing to do the writing and follow up needed to help consumers learn about unfair practices, poor customer support and other practices used by a company. Therefore, if you want to work together to get the message out about the unwillingness to be consumer friendly and our experience I will be happy to join you .
