After I sent the case #, the charge has been taken off my charge card.

However, I will not use Groupon again.

I joined Groupon in 2010, getting coupons for restaurants, a few deal on travel. Seemed to work out okay.

But, in the last few years I have noticed that the website has more merchandise, and really, they are not "deals", usually junk and seconds from a jobbers lot. But, I kept my account, in case a restaurant came up or something...

Then, my account was hacked. Someone had ordered 5 Apple TV's, and Ray Ban sunglasses on my account. $700.00 in charges, with items to be shipped to a Chinese name in San Diego.

1. Groupon has not phone number provided for customer service.

2. No option to contact regarding fraud or account misuse.

3. When you send an email, you get random e mails back, that do not address the issue. 10 e mails into this spin I asked if they would like the case number, as I filed criminal charges for fraud and identity theft. That got me an email from a supervisor.

I have ended my relationship with Groupon. They seemed to be oblivious to their own responsibility for protecting my information.

Reason of review: Poor customer service.
