Worst experience using Groupon!

Through Groupon, we purchased a package of two nights at the Adams Mark Hotel in Kansas City, MO that included 4 passes to their attached water park and $25 arcade credit each day. When we arrived, the hotel told us that Groupon only authorized our 2 night stay and did not authorize the 4 daily water park passes and $25 daily arcade play. We arrived on Thanksgiving night during an ice storm and the hotel did not have a supervisor to talk to, but they said 3 other families had checked in with the same problem, so we figured we would check it out in the morning. I immediately contacted Groupon. They were initially nice, but said we did not purchase the correct package. I then provided them proof from their own website that showed Groupon's claims were incorrect. After this, they refused to respond to us any longer. Our first room at the Adams Mark Hotel had numerous problems. The shower/tub in the bathroom looked like a bigfoot had vomited in it. We also found hair ties on the counters with others hair in them. We were given another room, but it lacked some furniture and wall art. Although it was a "non-smoking" room, it smelled like a cigar bar when we turned on the heat. The TV lacked many advertised channels. Others had such poor reception that they were not worth watching. On our second day, the hotel was without any electricity or heat for at least 4 hours. It was an awful experience over the Thanksgiving holiday.

I purchased a Groupon for 2 puzzles no where does it say it will take months to receive product...if I ever do get it. No one answers the phone. Email was answered after weeks with no dates in the near future of when I can expect to receive product. This was to be a gift for a birthday that's passed. Indoodle is never getting any business from me. Groupon either 10 emails to them and the replies from out of the country don't get it. I am done with both companies # 1 Groupon should be upfront when I bought the Voucher. #2 Inkdoodle should not sell products that they can not produce in a timely manner. GRRR!!!

Groupon - READ the fine print folks

I am not a pissed consumer. I love Groupon. I do not work for Groupon. Almost every single one of these complaints are the fault of the consumer not reading the coupon fine print and limitations. How do you think you get a deal? You get a deal by having the service during "off" peak times. Every coupon has an expiration date, SO DOES YOUR GROUPON!!!! READ IT! Groupon isn't responsible for the quality of the service you purchase either, that is the responsibility of the vendor offering a coupon through Groupon. Come on people, don't be idiots, these "complaints" are all ridiculous.

I don't recall ever being so frustrated on a daily basis when trying to find out if a recent purchase has shipped or not. I only get the same insolent answer, (We are checking on it and will get back to you). How many days and hours do they need. This has gone on every day for 8 days. It would have been far easier for them to simply cancel the order or tell me it would be late. The condescending manner in which they carefully refer to (Fine Print) is absurd. Avoid this firm until they put on some grown up pants and start taking ownership of problems and oblige the customers.

So I placed an order for all of these items in the same order. 1. Groom Genie for Dogs and Cats which is described as 5” x 4” x 3” size. 2. Huggie Loop Earrings with Swarovski Elements, I have wanted these for a long time and they just became available on their site. 3. Soft Mesh Pet Control Harness: Medium/Blue *Note the size ordered. 4. Set of 3 Sterling Silver & CZ Stackable Eternity Bands: Sapphire/9 *Note the color ordered. I have never had a company screw up so badly on an order. On top of that they expect me to do the legwork in returning the items and they cannot reorder them. Also the items are no longer available to order. So I'm out the items I ordered. So here is the breakdown of the problems. 1. Came in 2"x3"x3". 2. They informed me it shipped a week after I ordered it and then the next day after that they informed me it sold out and I wasn't going to get it, even though they took my money for it a week and a day prior. 3. I ordered a medium for my medium sized dog and they sent me a large. They told me they don't have an exchange policy so I must just return it to them. By return I must print a label using my ink if I had a printer to print from. I am 100% disabled. They told me I would have to go to a library or internet cafe to print it even after I told them I am disabled. 4. I ordered a Sapphire color as you can see above and they sent me a pinkish red color one. I told them I ordered Sapphire. I asked the person what color is Sapphire and he said he would have to check. How many people don't know that Sapphire is BLUE and not PINKISH RED???? Then he informed me that they no longer have any more of them left and don't do an exchange. So I'm out of luck. He then sent me an email with printing instructions. HELLO, hadn't I already told them I don't have a printer, am 100% disabled??? Yes I did tell them that over and over and over again. So they still have my money. I don't have the items I ordered and I have been ripped off by them. How can they screw up an order this badly??!! BEWARE, DO NOT BUY FROM THEM. Let my experience be a lesson to all.

I bought a Group On coupon about two months ago, for a restaurant called Maharaja Palace, at 1350 Madison Ave in NYC. The coupon was good for three months. Last night, May 21, I went to the restaurant. The place was closed and For Rent signs were plastered all over the windows. I was annoyed but figured Group On would do the right thing and refund my $20. I have been through e mail ***. I wrote to them and their first response (it looked like a canned response) said that they contacted the restaurant and I should go back now and instructed me on how to use the Group On coupon. This was an insult to me. I wrote to them again repeating my claim that the restaurant was closed. They wrote back saying that they had sent out an e mail stating that the Amsterdam Avenue location of the restaurant was closed but that the 1350 Madison Ave location was OPEN!!!. Idiots. I wrote to them again. Now I have gotten another e mail from "Suren Babu" (sounds like a character out of Seinfeld) stating they are sorry but looking into my problem. This company, which I thought was a classy organization, has lousy customer service. In addition, it is farmed out to a foreign country, staffed by people who are not helpful in the least but who I am sure cost Group On much less then if Americans did this customer service work.
