They advertise promo codes but don't let you use them. They hard code in a lower promo code that gives half the discount you would get with the promo code they emailed you or.sbow when you log.in. they're doing this 1. To save money 2. Hoping you'll come back and spend more money.
All you have to do to figure out how they're doing this is look at their coding on their website or in their app. There's code in there specifically to apply their SAVEMORE promo code and coding to prevent users from removing that promo and adding ones like saveinmay or welcome which are 20% savings vs 10 % so this is what I wrote to them. Oh also there is no easy way to get a human on their site. It took me 30 mins to figure out how to get a page where I could write my complaint but then they give you the option to email or chat. I first chose email but I don't think that works because I got a message to click the chat icon on the right and a message telling me volume is high so wait time is approx 90 mins. I went out came.back pasted same complaint and chose chat this time. Surprise! Same exact message. But when you look at the page for the chat icon guess what? There isn't one! So how the *** are you supposed to EVER CONTACT GROUPON WITH ISSUES. That's why I'm following this advice "
report manipulative sales practices by corporations, the primary agency to contact is the Federal Trade Commission (FTC). You can also report these practices to the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) if the practices involve financial products or services.

The FTC is the nation's consumer protection agency, and it's responsible for enforcing laws that prevent unfair, deceptive, and fraudulent business practices. They can investigate and take action against companies that break these laws. You can report fraud, scams, and unfair business practices through their official reporting platform, ReportFraud.ftc.gov.

I have a promo code in my email that states the following
20% Off On Your Next Local Purchase
Set up your account and use your exclusive code at checkout of your first purchase
Code WELCOME
But when I go to make my purchase you apply a different promo code that only gives me approximately 5% off and there's no way to remove that promo code.
My sister is also having the same issue
There's a promo code for the month of May with a 20% off but she has the same problem when she tries to purchase something you guys automatically apply to save more coupon or promo code which is only 10% off
That's a huge difference between 10% and 20%
So neither of us can use promo code welcome or may promo Code. It's automatically applying a promo savemore Code for way less of a discount than the may coupon or my welcome promo and you automatically apply it without allowing us to select it and at check out YOU DONT LET US REMOVE IT TO APPLY THE ONE WE WANT!
My account I can't use may promo code bc you automatically apply savemore
My sister can't use her welcome 20% off first purchase because again you apply the same savemore 10% coupon and if she uses that then she can't use her 20% welcome because she will have already made a purchase and it won't apply because it will no longer be her first purchase so your promo codes are a SCAM & IF not resolved after I report this to the BBB I'm filing in small claims - yes I will file in small claims because my court fees are waived since I'm on disability.
You hard coded in forcing everyone to use the SAVEMORE promo code. I looked at your coding on your website and app.
What you're doing is illegal because it's false advertising a promotion that your customers can't use and in my sisters case, if she uses your SAVEMORE she can't come back and use welcome.promocode bc welcome is only eligible for first purchase.
Clearly your goal is to get people to come back and make another purchase with their other code and that's also illegal so I'm filing in court and reporting to all the government groups that oversee manipulative sales practices like these, I'm reporting to my state attorney general, BBB and

This has been a nightmare! I purchased a 1800flowers voucher from you; it didn't go through. I spent 4 hours trying to cancel and finally got it resolved. However, I tried having them use the voucher before canceling, but it came up invalid with them too. So, I was unable to use it and was stuck paying more money for something I was trying to save money with. Now, I've been trying to reach you guys with no luck. I received an email that I was getting Groupon bucks, of which I do not want! I want the money back into my account. I tried to respond with only more automated messages. I tried for an hour and a half to reach someone on the app with zero luck. I want someone to take care of this now and stop getting the runaround. What a racket this is.
Here are my details: # VS-1326-R1LT-LHSH-WKLW for 1800flowers. It was for a $75 voucher, which I paid $48.44.
Please contact me ASAP regarding this!

Verified ReviewerBought groupon. I want credit card refund.
I bought Groupon on 1/9/26 for $29.44 for a smog testing to be done at Superior Smog Test Center in Van Nuys. On 1/10/26, when I was attempting to pull it up on my cell phone to use it, I was unable to pull the coupon up.
The merchant charged me $25 instead. I paid with cash.
I want to cancel and get a $29.44 credit back to my Visa credit card #410039****974781. The only option is to get it as a credit to future Groupon purchases, which I don't want.

I need Groupon to extend my coupon an additional six months before it expires because there is a medical emergency and a surgery required and I will not be able to make my appointment in a timely fashion before it expires. I spoke with the merchant and the merchant said that Groupon had to extend the coupon because they would not be able to redeem it once it expires if I do not receive a response from Groupon then I'm calling my bank and filing a complaint and a reversal to the charge.

Hello, so I have purchased a Groupon on December 19th using a gift card purchased through Afterpay. I wanted the purchase refunded and did it the same night I purchased it, and was told it would take up to 10 days, but it was never completed.
I tried to do it through the app today, but I am now past the window of the refund request. I understand the refund requests, but is there a way I could just be refunded this since I technically did do it within the window, just through the wrong way?
Someone has given me the wrong directions since I see it didn’t work and it provided me with wrong instructions. Thank you!

- There is no number for customer service

I was emailed at 8:30pm canceling the tour. The rules state if cancelled by the company, you were supposed to be entitled to a refund. I contacted qroupon by the app and was told I wasnt entitled to a refund. I took screenshots of the conversation and the email from the boat company.

I was upset because, at the time I tried purchasing the ticket, it didn't go through. Due to that, I couldn't go and enjoy the day with my kids because that's all the money I had that day.
Because of this mistake, I couldn't.
So please send my refund ASAP for both transactions that failed but were still not put back on the same day! It's a disappointment using Groupon.

They sold me a ticket for a company that rejected my ticket. I asked for refund they will only give me credit.
But if they are selling tickets they are not excepted by companies I dont want to use credit to try buying another ticket that possibly will not be excepted by another company.
They will not give my money back to me! If they want my trust the should have apologized for selling me a ticket they where not authorized to seek and refunded me but they wont!

Verified Reviewer |I purchased a Groupon for Teleflora several weeks ago, then received email from Groupon that it was about to expire, but I could not redeem it because the redeem button opened an empty Groupon folder.
I bought a Groupon several weeks ago for Teleflora flower delivery; however, the Groupon disappeared and expires on 11/27. I wanted to use it to send Thanksgiving flowers to a friend.
The redeem Groupon button does not work. I tried contacting Groupon by their own email links, which said I needed to verify my email with a code.
However, they never sent the code, and I have tried at least 10 times. Therefore, this Groupon was a complete waste of time and money, similar to other experiences I've had with this company, Groupon.

I purchased a Groupon for Sams Club membership using my Groupon bucks and debit card. When I went to Sams to get my cards it came up as unpaid.
I have the email stating I purchased and paid for it, but its not in my Groupons. I was in the Sams Club for 30 minutes trying to figure it out. Its incredibly frustrating to have been duped by Groupon for a second time.
Id like my money back for the last 2 purchases I was screwed on through your company. This is ridiculous and not to mention your customer service is unreachable.

When I tried to redeem the 3rd code for the same day the Enchant website stated it was an invalid code. Chatted with Groupon customer service since there's no Groupon customer service number and they gave me a new code. I tried the new code on Enchant Las Vegas and was told the new code isn't valid. Frustrated customer
There is no live person to talk to about a closed business I was supposed to redeem a gift voucher from. My husband gifted me a pretty expensive spa package, and I have been trying to call and leave messages to no avail.
Also, when I used the address Groupon listed, there was no salon of the sort. I went to the salon's website to try to book. There was no availability, which led me to believe that they are closed or just using Groupon to scam people. And shame on you, Groupon, for allowing that.
I tried contacting Groupon support, but it's no help. It's just some AI-generated response asking me to give details of the date and times I contacted the merchant, which I sent over. All AI said was they would try to contact the merchant.
Apparently, I'm not the only one since the Groupon page for the merchant is flagged as under investigation and says the merchant is closed. Well, if they know this already, why not refund me already since I have proof of not being able to redeem my voucher yet?
- Good deals
- Scam
